Child Minding Services
Travelling with your family?
To assist those of you travelling with children, we have engaged the services of a reputable and established Child-Minding company in the Gold Coast that has been providing quality childcare for the domestic and tourist industry for over 30 years.
We have two main services on offer.
In House Minding
at Convention Centre
Children can be left at a dedicated room onsite at the Convention Centre, as part of in-house Program that offers a range of activities to suit ages 3 to 16 years.
Activities may include Arts & Craft: painting, collage, play dough, puppet making, bubble blowing, card making, wood crafts, stickers, colouring etc. They will be a home corner with dress ups, climbing frames, age-appropriate toys, group games, and story time.
As needed, for an older child, electronic devices such as PlayStations, Wiis, TVs can be arranged on request, at an additional cost.
An alternative option for the 7–16-year-olds is supervised excursions to the local theme parks such as Sea World, Movie World, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Paradise Country, time at the beach, or just a local park for some outdoor play. This will incur additional costs for transportation and theme park entry etc.
The cost for the onsite minding will be approximately $10 per child per hour (minimum 3 hours or equivalent cost).
For those with infants under 3, we can also accommodate these on site for the meeting, charged at $12 per hour.
The aim is that every child enjoys themselves and is encouraged to participate in all aspects of the program.
Personal Child Care Minding
at Hotel or Convention Centre
Day Rates (before 5 pm) and Evening Rates* (after 5 pm) are available. Price is on request.
As a guide, it is $110 for 3 hours per child; $30 per hour thereafter.
Rates can be adjusted for 2 or more children (price on request). Limit of 3 children per sitter.
e.g. For 2-3 children, cost is $125 for 3 hours, $35 per hour thereafter.
*All sits beginning after 8.30pm are charged from 8.30pm irrespective of start time
Fees apply when booking is cancelled within 4 hours to the scheduled commencement time.
Pricing does not include meals or refreshments.
For prolonged minding, these can be provided to childcare staff for your children,
or readily organised with the convention centre on the day.
In order to plan for this service, we are seeking expressions of interest,
with an idea of:
- the numbers of children
- their ages
- proposed sitting requirements
Bookings are essential prior to the meeting and need to be paid in full ahead of time.
