Session Types
Session Types: Formats Which the ISER Meeting Offers
All oral sessions will be two hours long with 5 slots of 24 min talks. These talks are either presentations by invited speakers or will be selected via abstract submission. The last fifth slot can be divided into two early career researcher oral presentations.
These lectures are scheduled from 10:30 to 12:00 from Monday to Thursday. There are no parallel events to each plenary lecture and all meeting participants are invited to take part.
The following prizes are being handed out:
- Monday, February 20: The Endre A. Balazs Prize
- Tuesday, February 21: The Ernst H. Bárány Prize
- Wednesday, February 22: The Paul Kayser International Award in Retina Research
- Thursday, February 23: The Ludwig von Sallmann Prize
Poster authors are kindly asked to be present at their poster to give a brief presentation and to answer questions by participants during the poster sessions. Poster sessions will take place on Monday and Tuesday, from 17:30-19:00. Finger food and drinks will be served.
The XXV ISER Business meeting is an opportunity for all our members to join with our Executive Council to hear and learn about the organization, and to raise any comments (positive and/or negative) pertaining to the governance and running of the Society, the programming and organization of its research meetings, as well as the future goals of the society. As our valued members, we appreciate your input and look forward to hearing how we can improve our service to you so that the Society continues to grow and remain at the forefront of support for our international vision science researchers.
